Who we are
FM Saves (fmsaves.com) is operated by FM Scout. For anything about your data, contact [email protected].
What we collect
Your account. Your username, which is public if you make your profile public; your email address, which we never show to anyone; and your password, stored only as a secure hash.
Saves you choose to sync. The FM Saves app sends a few small, compressed pieces of a save file (usually under 2 MB). We read them and immediately discard them. We keep only the facts about your career: club, in-game and real dates, game version, time played, trophies, the nations and database you loaded, club colours, and your manager's nationality code when it appears in the game's hall of fame. The app also sends when the file was last modified.
What we never keep: the save file itself, its file name, your manager's name or date of birth, or any player names.
Technical data. While you're logged in, your session stores your IP address and browser type. Our server may keep short-lived access logs for security.
Anonymous statistics (optional)
If you switch on "Contribute anonymous stats" in the app, we also store a copy of the non-personal facts (versions, counts, clubs, nations, dates) without any link to your account. The save's identifier is replaced by a one-way code. Because this data can't be connected to you, it isn't removed when you delete your account.
Your public profile
Profiles are private by default. If you make yours public, anyone can see your username, your synced saves and your badge at fmsaves.com/u/your-name. You can make it private again at any time.
Why we process it
To provide your account and your career pages (our agreement with you), and — for anonymous statistics and a public profile — because you chose to switch them on.
How long we keep it
Your account and synced history are kept until you delete your account. Each sync is kept as a separate checkpoint, so your career history builds over time.
Your rights
- Download your data any time from Settings.
- Delete your account from Settings — it removes your account, profile, badge, app connections and every synced save.
- Correct your email in Settings.
- Withdraw consent by switching off syncing or anonymous stats in the app, or making your profile private.
- For anything else, or to complain to a data protection authority, contact us first at the address above.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in and to protect forms. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider and the service we use to send emails process data on our behalf. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
